To see how you install it, click

2. PCAnywhere: To use PCAnywhere, you
must be behind the Firewall or you must open ports 5631 and 5632. To
specify another port, click Edit, Preferences, select Host Communications tab,
Advanced TCP/IP Options..., you should now see the Data Port: 5631 and Status
Port: 5632. When connecting to a Host from a Remote PC, you need to also
make sure you are using the same ports by right clicking on the Remote Name,
select Properties, select TCP/IP and click Details to set the Data and Status
Ports.
3. Symbol Portables: Most problems
encountered with these hand-helds can be resolved by simply Resetting the unit.
To perform a soft reset, do the following:
PPT27xx/28xx: Hold down the up and down scroll buttons, then press
the App 4 Button (Microphone) and release. To see the 3 buttons,
click here.
PPT88xx: Press "FUNC",
"ENTER"
and Scan.

Windows XP SP2 - When Windows
Firewall blocks a program, a Windows Firewall Security Alert dialog box appears
saying "Windows Firewall has blocked this program from receiving unsolicited
information from the Internet or a network". When you see this dialog box,
select "Unblock the program".
If you do not click Unblock the program in the
Security Alert dialog box, the program continues to be blocked. To enable a
program by using Windows Firewall, follow these steps:
- 1. Click Start, click Run, type
wscui.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.
- 2. Click "Windows Firewall".
3. Click the "Exceptions" tab, and then click "Add Program".
4. Select "Gas Station" or "AGKSoft" from the list that
appears and click OK.
5. On the Exceptions tab, make sure that the check box next "Gas Station"
or "AGKSoft" is selected, and then click OK.
- 6. If you are using GFtp Server, repeat
steps 4 and 5 for "G-Ftp".
If you are using Windows XP's built-in
Internet Connection Firewall (ICF),
click ICF.
5. Norton Antivirus
- Norton Antivirus will block most
internet communication, if you are having problems, right click on the Norton
Antivirus icon at the bottom near your clock and select "Norton Antivirus
Options"
On the left, under "Internet", select "Internet Work Protection"
Under "How to customize your settings", select "Program Control"
For Norton 2006, select "Personal Firewall"
and click "Configure"
1. Click Add and you will see the "Select a program" dialog.
2. Enter on of the following programs and select Open.
A. "C:\Program Files\TightVNC-unstable\vncviewer.exe"
B. "C:\gftp\gftp.exe"
C. "C:\Program Files\STATION\Station.exe"
3. Click OK twice

- For AGKSoft to run on Vista, do the
following:
- Click Start, Control Panel
and Select Classic View
- Open "User Accounts"
- Click "Turn User Account Control on or
off"
- Uncheck the "Use User Account Control"

For the portables to work on Vista, you need
to download version 6.1 or later. Click "Windows
Mobile Device Center"
to download it. You can also download it from Microsoft's web-site
as shown below:
To speed up TightVNC on Vista, do the
following:
- Right Click on Computer and select
Properties
- Select Advanced System Settings on
the left
- Click Settings
- Select Adjust for best performance
and hit OK
