How to Assemble the Metrologic MS951-743 Keyboard Scanner to work with your PC?

 

1.     Shut down your PC or Laptop

2.     If you are using a PC, unplug the keyboard and plug the keyboard into the scanner

3.     Plug the scanner into your PC or Laptop

4.     Using the page of scan codes that you see below, scan 1, 2, 3 and 4

 

 

How to test MS951-743 ?

Run Notepad and scan any item and you should see the UPC-code in Notepad’s edit field.

 

You should test the scanner with a variety of items that have different bar codes and make

sure that you get the same result as your G-Site scanner.  If you don’t get the same result,

try changing the settings like the “UPC-A Check Digit”, “UPC-E Leading 0”,

“UPC-E Check Digit” and “Expand UPC-E”.

 

In order to change these settings, you need to first scan the “Enter/Exit Program Mode”

Scan code (1) or (4).  After that, you scan all the options you want, then scan the

“Enter/Exit Program Mode” again and you should be all set.
